Square D SEF364000LSG Repair
This emergency repair was initiated by Rosendin Electric in conjunction with Emerson - Electrical Reliability Services.
Late in the evening Ampteks receives an emergency call about a 4000A main breaker at Applied Materials - AKT group Bldg 98.
During scheduled switching procedures the SE breaker operating mechanism failed leaving the building cold and dark. With the building
scheduled to back online before asap did not leave time to locate a spare breaker. The repair work was arranged during a phone call
in a matter of minutes.

Ampteks had a brand new SED364000LSG that was used as a donor for the operating mechanism. In a matter of hours we
replaced the mechanism in the SEF364000LSG. While the breaker was open it was also noted that the contact assemblies needed
attention as well. Contact assemblies are cleaned/burnished and wiped down with our proprietary denatured alcohol along with the
arc chutes which inturn considerably improved milli-volt drop.

The breaker was back on site and re-installed in a matter of hours allowing the normal course of business to take place the following morning.
